THE MAGIC OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND POLISH SPA

This year's opening of the spa season was in the spirit of Czech-Polish spa tourism, given that the State Medical Spa Janské Lázně and the Polish spa town of Szczawno-Zdrój received financial support from the Microproject Fund in the Glacensis Euroregion within the Interreg VA Czech Republic - Poland Program.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of the main representatives of our spa, the city, the region and the Polish partners, thanks to whom the entire event can take place. The weather was ideal, under the clouds, without rain and without heat.
Consecration of the spring
One of the highlights of the Opening of the 2022 spa season in Janské Lázně was the consecration of our spring, which was attended with interest by many spectators. The spring is now consecrated, may it serve all patients of our spa and passersby well!
About the event
The start of the spa season is and has always been a primary social event in every spa. For spa resorts, such an event is a traditional and essential part of spa life, which aims to present spa traditions in a Czech-Polish spirit for the first time. Polish and Czech bands will play on a small stage. The event will include stands with demonstrations of crafts from both sides of the Giant Mountains. The youngest visitors will have fun in front of the Vesna Children's Spa. The organizers will prepare musical performances, retro tin cars, creative workshops and a puppet theater for them, which will play short fairy tales alternately in Czech and Polish. The theater will also include a handmade wooden carousel. The event will end with a social evening in the Art Nouveau Kolonáda café.

Visitors to the event can look forward to a practically all-day cultural program. There will be two stages on the colonnade, and on the large one, performances will be held in 13:00 p.m. band SLZA and at 15:30 p.m. singer LENNY with her band.
In the meantime, however, visitors will not be without music, and interesting and high-quality music. After the usual start and the baptism of the spring at Prameník, the young, amazing singer Dominika Fišerová will perform on a small stage on the colonnade at 11:30 a.m. with her backing band Dominika & Band. World hits, as well as her own original work, will ring out in the colonnade in pop, jazz, and funky melodies, there will be plenty to look forward to.
Due to the nature of the event "The Magic of Czech-Polish Spas" another band from 14 pm it will be from Poland. Blues Menu Band under the leadership of Tadeusz Bogucki.
The band's current blues card is dominated by their own creations (compositions and lyrics by Tadeusz Bogucki), but the musicians also willingly use the canon of blues-rock standards. The band has performed at many blues festivals, including Blues Brothers Day – Wrocław, Blues nad Piława – Głowaczewo, Piła Party, and their performance promises very good music.
She has also performed in renowned music clubs not only in Poland, but also in the Czech Republic, Germany and Kazakhstan. Blues Menu pieces have been included in many compilations, notably the Polish Blues Anthology and Blues Made in Poland 2009.
The team was founded in October 1998 in Oborniki Śląskie on the initiative of Tadeusz Bogucki (formerly the leader of the Piła teams including Krater and Bluesdorf Orchestra - performance and award at the Rawa Blues festival 1996).
And thirdly, after the concert of singer LENNY, 16:30 Blue Cimbalom, an absolutely excellent musician and instrumentalist Roman Veverka and his pop-rock band, which represents the essential joy of songs and in its energetic expression connects the pure melody of many types of songs, i.e. a combination of seemingly different types, such as modern hits and folk songs.
In the new unique sound, the restless spirit of their own songwriting, the mysticism of folk lyrics set to music, but also hits of world names such as U2, Sting, Pink Floyd etc. and the magical atmosphere of folk songs from Moravia, Slovakia and historical songs breathes into the audience. The interpretation is dominated by expressive singing, overtones of the dulcimer colored with electronic effects and pulsating pop-rock rhythms.
We believe that you will not tear yourself away from the colonnade and that a day full of great music in Janské Lázně will be an unforgettable experience for you!
Children's program before the Spring Festival
At the event marking the start of the spa season, the richest program for children is of course in front of the VESNA children's spa, where there is a large area and children can run around from fairy tales to music or competitions.
Children can also run around the playground and along the competition route, completing tasks at individual stations and receiving sweet rewards.
From 10 am to 18 pm there is really something to see, to have fun and to play. In the yellow tent of the VOSA agency, the assistants "wasps" practice, dance and have fun with the children to the great live music of Miroslav Vosáhl. The children will also try balloon creation and various fun movement games and animation programs. Then there is a reward for this.
For lovers of fairy tales, a puppet troupe called AHOJ Chrudim is set up nearby, so that they will not be disturbed, and will play short fairy tales for children, of course this year, when we also expect visitors from Poland to the event in Polish. A series of classic fairy tales about Kasparek and the animals will entertain and make you laugh. You will also find a wooden hand-operated carousel next to the puppet fairy tales.
A great attraction will be a creative workshop with beads and glass beads, which, under the guidance of a lecturer, helps children develop fine motor skills and its funding was made possible as part of a microproject called The Magic of Czech-Polish Spas, Registration number: CZ.11.4.120/0.0/0.0/16_008/0002093. Children will take all the products home for free.
Shuttle services from Trutnov will be directed to VESNA, so that practically every visitor who comes to the event by bus will first stop at Vesna.
A road train will take visitors to the colonnade, where they will find not only craft stalls by the gazebo, but they can also ride in retro pedal cars that copy cars from the past. On the colonnade, children will also find small workshops for creative individuals near the stalls.
