How to get to the spa (map)

Design submission

Before issuing a proposal, each client must complete outpatient rehabilitation in their place of residence. If the rehabilitation did not lead to an improvement in the client's health, the rehabilitation doctor (specialist) may write a recommendation for spa or inpatient rehabilitation care. The proposal for spa and rehabilitation care itself is issued either directly by a specialist (e.g. a rehabilitation doctor) or a general practitioner. Be careful of this: the proposal form for Comprehensive Spa Care (KLP) differs from the proposal form for placement in a Specialized Treatment Institute (OLU): both you can find the forms here.

Insurance company approval

The specialist or practitioner will send a proposal for approval to your health insurance company. We treat many conditions in Janské Lázně, but not every indication is covered by all insurance companies. A comprehensive list of indications covered by individual insurance companies can be found at this page.
The approved proposal will be sent by the health insurance company to our spa and, upon receipt, we will send you Initial Information for Clients by post.

Booking an appointment

Did you know that you can book a date and specific accommodation with us even before your proposal is approved by the health insurance company? This option is available for adult clients in the Comprehensive Spa Care program. To make a reservation, simply send the completed reservation form to the email address of the relevant hospital. For children's hospital clients, reservations are only possible after official approval and acceptance of the proposal.

Arrival and initial examination

No later than 14 days before your arrival date, our admissions office will send you a Summons for Treatment via Czech Post. This document contains the exact date of your arrival and all other necessary information. On the day of your arrival, we will first welcome you at the admissions office, where your documents will be checked and your initial medical examination will be scheduled.

Therapy

Your treatment regimen at our spa is based on the type of stay (Comprehensive spa care or Specialized treatment institute), but the key point is the initial medical examination. Based on this, we draw up an individual treatment plan, which we flexibly adjust during your stay according to your current health condition and needs.

Exit examination

Before the end of your treatment stay, you will undergo a final medical examination, the output of which is a discharge report.

How does the patient get to the spa?

A specialist or general practitioner can recommend spa or medical rehabilitation care to a patient at the OLÚ. The relevant proposal for the type of care is drawn up by the doctor who recommended the treatment stay.

It is possible that the patient will have to undergo necessary medical examinations. The doctor will suggest the type of care (comprehensive, rehabilitation in the OLÚ) and a suitable treatment facility on the proposal. If you have chosen our treatment facility, please inform the doctor that the proposed treatment facility is Janské Lázně ranked first.

The doctor will then send the proposal, along with the mandatory medical documentation, to the patient's health insurance company for approval. In indicated cases, an escort may also be approved.

In the event that it involves a transfer from bed to bed, the proposal will be fully taken care of by the attending physician at the healthcare facility where the patient is hospitalized.

After sending the proposal with the attached medical documentation to the health insurance company, the reviewing doctor of the relevant health insurance company decides whether or not to approve a specific type of care and possible accompaniment. His decision has 30 calendar days. The health insurance company will inform you in writing about the approval or disapproval of the proposal. If the insurance company approves your proposal, it is sent from the insurance company directly to our spa (or to another spa of your choice).

The decision to accept or reject a patient for treatment is made by the head physician of the hospital. based on the attached medical documentation and the current occupancy of the department at the time of the proposal's validity. The proposal is valid for 3 months from the date of approval of the proposal by the health insurance company (an exception may be postoperative indications, which may shorten the validity of the proposal).

If the proposal is accepted by the treatment center, we will usually send initial information about the stay, along with a price list of additional services, within a week. The actual summons for treatment is usually sent 1-2 weeks before the start of the stay.

The special spring stay combines spa wellness and spring activities. It also includes a gondola lift ticket and a ticket to the Treetop Walk.
