We are marching for better health of triplets from the Vesna Children's Hospital
We invite you to Janský March FOR A GOOD CAUSE to Montenegro on Saturday, May 18, 2019 organized by the Duha Trutnov Foundation.
We start at 10 am from the spa headquarters on Náměstí Svobody in Janské Lázně (entry fee is allowed until 12 pm) and continue through Modrokamenná bouda, Pardubické bouda to Černá hora and back down by cable car. At the end of the march, you will be welcomed with warm homemade soup and tea (free) in the Janské Lázně Colonnade until 17 pm.
Each participant will go at their own pace, individually or in a group, completely according to their own preferences. This is not a race. 🙂
"With a starting fee of 200 crowns per person, this year we will help the family of two-year-old triplets Viktorka, Amálka and Žofinka, who were born very prematurely in February of last year with multiple disabilities and are patients of the Vesna Children's Hospital. All three, with the support of their parents Hana and Vít, are bravely fighting their limitations."" says Michaela Slunčíková from the legal department of Janske Lázně.
"But you don't have to go all the way to Janské Lázně to help. Just send a voluntary contribution now to the transparent DUHA Trutnov Foundation account: 27239601/0100, variable symbol 8888. "On behalf of the girls, we thank you for any financial help."
They will never stop fighting.
Viktorka, Amálka and Žofinka spent the first weeks and months after birth in various neonatology centers in Moravia due to their health complications. "I believed that the mother's presence and breast milk were what would give them the will to live and not give up, so my husband and I were with them every day, alternately in Zlín, Brno and Ostrava. We never stopped believing for a moment that the girls would get home and we built a home for them. It took almost nine endless months before we were all home together," says mom Hana.
Today they are two years and two months old and each has her own handicap and has undergone a number of difficult surgeries. "Viktorka cannot hear yet, but we believe that she will hear. Amálka's hearing center is gradually maturing. Žofinka is doing the best. She has "only" undergone a few head surgeries. We are pleased that she can say a few words. Each of the girls weighs around seven kilograms, we have a special high-energy diet with other nutritional supplements and medications. We exercise four times a day, we have contacted experienced physiotherapists, whom we regularly visit. We have sought out specialists in various fields, whom we go to for regular consultations, we visit many doctors. The girls' psychomotor development is delayed and we have a lot of work ahead of us. We believe that they will catch up with everything one day," explains father Vít.
The situation the family finds itself in is exhausting and, above all, mentally demanding. "We are trying very hard, we are doing our best for our little girls and we believe that we will get them as far as possible and one day we will get them back on their feet, teach them to communicate, instill the right values in them and integrate them into society. We will never stop fighting. We will be very grateful for any help. We would like to use the funds to purchase special car seats, strollers for children who are unable to walk or sit, or positioning devices. We need funds for a personal assistant, to pay for consultations with specialists, rehabilitation or stimulation aids, and special nutrition. Thank you for your help.”
