Contributory spa care (PLP)

This form is a combination of insurance support and your financial contribution. It is an ideal choice if you have not been approved for full reimbursement but still want to take advantage of our professional spa care.

  • What does the insurance company pay for: All costs of your professional treatment and the work of our healthcare professionals.
  • What the client pays: Accommodation and meals (including costs for any accompanying persons).
  • Duležité upozornění: According to current laws, you must be accommodated directly in our medical facility. It is therefore not possible to attend the procedures from home or from accommodation outside our spa houses.

In Janské Lázně, we provide specialized care not only in the form of a classic spa (in the Comprehensive Spa Care program), but also in the form of a Specialized Treatment Institute (OLÚ). This form of care is intended for patients requiring intensive rehabilitation and professional supervision..

1) What is treatment at the OLU?

Treatment in Specialized medical institution (OLÚ) is an intensive rehabilitation program focused on patients with more serious health conditions. Unlike regular spa care, there is a greater emphasis on the frequency and intensity of individual therapies under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team..

2) Rules for issuing and approving a proposal

Submitting a Proposal for medical rehabilitation care in a specialized medical facility is not that different from a proposal for Comprehensive Spa Care, but it has certain specifics:

  • Before submitting a proposal for inpatient rehabilitation, the patient must complete outpatient rehabilitation in their place of residence.
  • The proposal has its own special form, one for children and one for adults. You can find both downloadable on this page
  • The proposal is issued by your treating physician (specialist - e.g. neurologist, rehabilitation physician, orthopedist) or a general practitioner on the recommendation of a specialist..

  • The proposal must be approved by the reviewing physician of your health insurance company..

  • The approved proposal is valid for 6 months (for children) / 3 months (for adults) from the date of issue, within which treatment must begin..

  • The proposal is not guided by a list of indications (as is the case with Comprehensive Spa Care), but by diagnosis.

3) What diagnoses are treated in Janské Lázně?

We specialize primarily in the treatment of the following indications:

  • Neurological diseases: Conditions after cerebrovascular accidents, multiple sclerosis, polio, conditions after injuries and surgeries of the brain and spinal cord.

  • Musculoskeletal system diseases: Conditions after severe injuries and surgeries of the spine and joints, muscle diseases.

  • Respiratory disease: Especially in pediatric patients and specific chronic conditions.

You can find a list of adult and pediatric diagnoses treated in Janské Lázně here.

4) Length of stay

The length of stay is determined for both children and adults. individually according to needs and diagnosis by the doctor in the hospital. The usual length of stay is 4–8 weeks.

5) Specifics and benefits of treatment in Specialized medical institution (OLU)

A stay in the OLÚ regime offers unique opportunities that standard spa care does not allow:

  • Intensive rehabilitation: The program includes a higher number of procedures and individual exercises per day.

  • Stay with assistance: For patients with a high level of dependence on the help of another person and without the possibility of their own accompaniment.

  • Extension option: If the patient's health condition requires it and there is a possibility of further improvement, the spa doctor may suggest an extension of the stay.

  • Combination with spa care: A great advantage is that treatment at the OLÚ can be completed even in a year when the patient has already received Comprehensive Spa Care (KLP), or in a year when they are not entitled to KLP for indication reasons.. OLÚ and spas are two different reimbursement systems that are not mutually exclusive

How to get to the spa (map)

Design submission

Before issuing a proposal, each client must complete outpatient rehabilitation in their place of residence. If the rehabilitation did not lead to an improvement in the client's health, the rehabilitation doctor (specialist) may write a recommendation for spa or inpatient rehabilitation care. The proposal for spa and rehabilitation care itself is issued either directly by a specialist (e.g. a rehabilitation doctor) or a general practitioner. Be careful of this: the proposal form for Comprehensive Spa Care (KLP) differs from the proposal form for placement in a Specialized Treatment Institute (OLU): both you can find the forms here.

Insurance company approval

The specialist or practitioner will send a proposal for approval to your health insurance company. We treat many conditions in Janské Lázně, but not every indication is covered by all insurance companies. A comprehensive list of indications covered by individual insurance companies can be found at this page.
The approved proposal will be sent by the health insurance company to our spa and, upon receipt, we will send you Initial Information for Clients by post.

Booking an appointment

Did you know that you can book a date and specific accommodation with us even before your proposal is approved by the health insurance company? This option is available for adult clients in the Comprehensive Spa Care program. To make a reservation, simply send the completed reservation form to the email address of the relevant hospital. For children's hospital clients, reservations are only possible after official approval and acceptance of the proposal.

Arrival and initial examination

No later than 14 days before your arrival date, our admissions office will send you a Summons for Treatment via Czech Post. This document contains the exact date of your arrival and all other necessary information. On the day of your arrival, we will first welcome you at the admissions office, where your documents will be checked and your initial medical examination will be scheduled.

Therapy

Your treatment regimen at our spa is based on the type of stay (Comprehensive spa care or Specialized treatment institute), but the key point is the initial medical examination. Based on this, we draw up an individual treatment plan, which we flexibly adjust during your stay according to your current health condition and needs.

Exit examination

Before the end of your treatment stay, you will undergo a final medical examination, the output of which is a discharge report.

Procedures

Intro text - Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

Aroma massage

A relaxing massage combined with the healing effects of essential oils. It relieves stress and harmonizes the body and psyche.

Bamboo massage

Bamboo massage is performed using oil and bamboo sticks. It has a positive effect on the efficiency of the lymphatic system.

Exercise in the pool

The exercise takes advantage of the buoyancy of water, so intense training does not put a lot of strain on the joints and spine.
