Prepare the Krkonoše sour wine
A hearty soup made from mushrooms and sourdough bread used to feed the inhabitants of the Krkonoše Mountains in the past.
all winter long. It will fill you up well too.
For four servings we will need:
300g potatoes
200 g bread yeast
a large handful of dried mushrooms
2 eggs
a teaspoon of salt
a teaspoon of cumin
The most important thing is sourdough from dark rye flour, which is best prepared the day before. An hour before cooking, soak the mushrooms and mix the sourdough with a little water. Boil the potatoes in their skins, peel them when cool and cut them into cubes. Boil the drained mushrooms in 1 liter of water with cumin, salt and sourdough. Heat the soup, stirring constantly, until it gradually thickens, and then bring it to a boil, and after a while the soup base is ready.
Fry the scrambled eggs in a pan, add them to the soup, cook for about three more minutes and serve with boiled potatoes.
The right sour must be strong and so thick that it makes you fills up as a main mealAfter all, it was served as the main meal, even several times a day, several times a week.
