Janské Lázně can boast of another significant benefit for its child clients who use hippotherapy services. Thanks to the Kingdom for Horses II project, which was supported by the ČEZ Foundation as part of the Pomahej pobyjem initiative, a new horse named Savanah Rock Star. This special horse will play a key role in hippotherapy. The horse is currently in training and will be used for hippotherapy purposes in the 2026 season. Sawanah was purchased from breeder Mgr. Jitka Bednářová Smíšková, who raised the mare and is preparing her directly for us. Both Sawanah's mother and grandmother participated in hippotherapy, so this is a proven origin.
Hippotherapy, a treatment method that uses the movement of a horse to support motor, sensory
and psychological abilities of children, has been a part of rehabilitation care in Janské Lázně for many years. The acquisition of a second horse, which is currently undergoing special hippotherapy training, will increase the quality of the therapeutic services offered, thus enabling more individual care to be provided and bringing even better results for child clients.
However, the financial support from the Kingdom for Horses II project and the ČEZ Foundation did not only enable the purchase of a new horse. The grant also purchased important equipment for the horse itself, such as special saddles and harnesses, as well as aids for the safety and comfort of clients, and last but not least, equipment for the staff who provide daily care for the horses and perform therapy.
Thanks to this support, Janské Lázně will be able to provide even better services that will bring a smile to the faces of child clients and strengthen their physical and mental fitness.
Savanah Rock Star becomes an invaluable member of the team that contributes to fulfilling the spa's mission - to help children on their path to health and a better quality of life.
