The Ministry of Health has imposed the obligation on spas to conduct a gender audit. A final report was prepared before the end of last year. It covered several areas, of which we bring you a brief summary.
Ensuring equality
The vast majority of respondents declared that the organization adheres to the principle of equal opportunities and does not discriminate against anyone because of their gender, age, ethnic origin, health status, etc. “The majority of respondents rate the overall atmosphere at work as good (60,3%), another 11,7% even as very good. Only a quarter of respondents (25,7%) chose the option could be better and only 5 people checked the option bad,” the audit states.
Personnel policy
During the admissions process, applicants are not asked questions about (planned) parenthood, childcare, or sexual orientation. "The vast majority of people (91,1%) stated in the questionnaire survey that after starting work, their managers and colleagues were willing to help them and that now they themselves (here the result was even better - 93,9% of positive responses) help newcomers," the report says.
Also interesting are the findings regarding work balance, where the survey showed: "Four fifths of people (80,8%) said that the company allows them to effectively balance their professional and private lives, a result confirmed by focus groups in which no one appeared, who should balance work and personal life problem."
Internal culture
The high ethical standards, the elaborate anti-corruption program and the spa's cooperation with educational institutions such as secondary and higher medical schools and universities are also positively evaluated. "In addition to the anti-corruption program, the spa also has codes of ethics for employees, management and access to clients. There is no systemic discrimination in the company, the auditors found.
The audit company collected data in the form of online and paper questionnaires, focus groups and semi-structured interviews and consultations. The online questionnaire was completed by 214 people (50,6% of employees from all age groups). Among the respondents, the most were nurses (33 people) and orderlies (31 people), followed by 23 service employees (e.g. maids or cleaners), 13 department heads, 10 doctors, 8 administration and maintenance technicians and 7 clerks. In total, 34 professions were represented in the questionnaire survey. The vast majority (93,9%) of people who completed the questionnaire work full-time in spas.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=“Read more professional articles” color=“primary” link=“url:%2Fclanky%2Fodborne-clanky|||“][/vc_column][/vc_row]
