The device and accessories worth 134 crowns were donated to Janské Lázně by the non-profit organization Život dětem. Its director Maria Křepelková and the sales director of the supplier company Benecylk Petr Freyburg personally handed over the gift to the director Martin Voženílek and the head of the Vesna Children's Hospital Vasil Jank on July 10. "Thank you very much for supporting the treatment and care we provide to sick children at Vesna. I thank my colleagues who do very useful work here," said the director. According to the head of the children's hospital, the device will have wide application, because microcirculation in the body is very important. "By improving blood circulation to the tissue, nutrients are better delivered to it and everything unnecessary is better removed from the body. This mechanism will help speed up the treatment of the inflammatory process, for example. We will also help patients with muscle and respiratory diseases,” said Vasil Janko and added an example of another use of the device for a wide range of diagnoses: "We have a lot of neurological and orthopedic patients here after surgery, for whom rapid healing of postoperative wounds is important. And it's not just about the wounds, it's also about the muscle that was affected by the surgery, sometimes even the bone. Quite often, we have to heal bedsores in patients after surgery, mostly caused by long-term plaster fixation. Just recently, I had two children here who I bandaged every day for four weeks, and it is in these cases that we will now use the Bemer Professional therapy," added by Vasil Janko.
The donor – the Život dětem company – has been helping children for 18 years. "We primarily help parents with seriously ill children, which you also care for here. I do a lot of reporting on the sick children we help because the public needs to know about these stories," said Maria Křepelková. "I recently spoke to the mother of Matěj, who was in your children's hospital for six weeks when he was 18 months old. He has made incredible progress. I am very happy that we were able to help you. And I also thank everyone who supports us and donates money. Without them, we would not be able to give in return. Last year, we managed to raise an incredible 25 million crowns for sick children from the Heart for Children project, on which students from the Olga Havel Business Academy in Janské Lázně have been actively collaborating for many years. People trust us, and that is very important."
The Vesna Children's Hospital is currently equipped with modern equipment in terms of device therapy. "In our daily practice, we work with highly modern rehabilitation devices, such as the unique vacuum compression device Extremiter, designed for the treatment of circulatory disorders of the extremities, their stagnant metabolism and impaired trophics, or the robotic glove Gloreha for the rehabilitation of the hands of patients with neurological or post-traumatic injuries, " Vasil Janko stated.
